This vase is from Japan. It's in pristine conditon. The vase is right at 10 1/4 inches in height, and 4 3/4 inches in width. The colors of this vase are magnificant. The colors are rich and vibrant, accented by gold leafing. Gold leafing is the the first to diminish with pottery that has been handled by hands;  The oils act as a solvent and over time will oxidize the painted gold leafing.  I don't see any oxidation of the gold leafing at all.
I have owned this vase for many years.  It was always one of my favorite Japanese pieces of art.  It's time for it to go to another home that will appreciate the simple beauty it represents.
