Assorted Steel Wool includes Fine Grade #000, Medium Grade #00, and Course Grade #0 for all your cleaning and surface preparation needs. Course #0 – For stripping rough or built-up surfaces or wood fiber spurs. Medium #00 – For Removing surface imperfections. Ideal for antique furniture and cleaning metal/rust. Fine #000 – For creating a finished surface to stain, paint or apply other coatings—ideal for high-luster polishing chrome, copper, and brass. For best results: Use the guide above to decide which grade is suitable for your project. Use a sequence of grades: Always start with a course grade and progress to a medium or fine grade. Always sand in the direction of the grain: use long, smooth strokes. Working across the grain will scratch the surface. • For cleaning and surface preparation • Removing paint, varnish, and rust.
