Rare L Old Hollywood 40s Gray/White Striped Fitted Suit a la Katherine Hepburn

Kate to the max! I am sick I don't have a model for this as the pix just don't do it justice. It just kind of looks drab but on it is a bombshell as it really hugs the bod.  It is just an amazing 40s suit that must have been a high end designer. Incredible material; almost has a fine seersucker look but not seersucker, much nicer fabric, not sure what it is; a fine linen?? It is amost ribbed with slubbing, only it is lightweight not at all a heavy fabric (tried to show close up in last pix). A great spring, summer, fall suit. The tailoring is amazing--must have been an incredibly expensive suit in its day--lots of darting and seaming-the 5th pix show the finishing on the seams, amazing!  Even the finishing on the buttonholes is like nothing I have ever seen. Mother of pearl buttons, side metal zipper in skirt; shoulder pads. No labels so am thinking custom made at the time. In very good shape; could not find any flaws. And best of all, it is a larger size, something rare among suits. I am only selling because the skirt is now too tight! Thought about keeping just for jacket but gray is not really my color and I hate to break up the suit.  Just an unbelievable piece of 40s fashion at it's best!
