This lovely vintage 1940s skirt set is made from a dusky shade of peach satin and is full of charming details. The jacket is tailored for a flattering hourglass shape with pads in the shoulders for extra structure. The front closes with a double row of matching fabric buttons, and the pockets on each side feature a textured quilted detail with pointed flaps. The skirt has a classic 40s gentle A-line shape and falls to about mid calf. It has a folded pleat in the front for ease of movement and zips at the side with a metal zipper.
Condition: The structure of this suit is in excellent condition, but the fabric does show some wear in areas. There are a few pinholes in the skirt as well as some wearing and pulls of the fabric near the hem. There are also a few pinholes in the jacket and an area of wear near the cuff of the left sleeve. Some of the buttons also show a slight bit of wear around the edges. See the last photo for a collage of closeups regarding these issues.

The best way to insure that a garment will fit properly is to look at the exact measurements provided rather than the estimated size. Vintage clothing is made differently from modern clothing and does not always conform to modern sizing.

SHIPPING
All items are mailed through USPS. Orders shipped to the United States are shipped via First Class or Priority Mail depending on their weight, and International orders are mailed via First Class. All items will be shipped within 2 business days of receiving payment. If you have a time sensitive order, please contact us and we may be able to accomodate or offer faster mailing services.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
Please be aware that your country may charge customs fees upon arrival. As each country is different, please make sure to check these fees before placing an order as these fees are the responsibility of the buyer and not something that the sellers have control over. If the buyer rejects an item due to customs fees, the buyer is liable for any return shipping fees required.
RETURNS
Items that are dated 1940s-1990s are eligible for a return within a 30 day window given that they are returned in the same condition they were received. The purchase will be refunded in full (minus shipping charges) as soon as the package is received. Items from the 1930s and older are not returnable due to the delicate nature of these garments.
