Vintage Antique Embroidered Linen Skirt & Blouse Set
Beautiful Hand embroidery on skirt and top. Shell buttons. Could have been a simple but elegant wedding dress!
Lots of material in this set - together the weight is 1 lb. 13 oz.
Skirt condition:
Skirt is in fairly good condition -- there is fraying at the hem, which has come unstitched. A few  small holes ovar all. Hook closures at back of waistline are rusting and some have come unsewn. There is some staining in spots on skirt. The embroidery is in vey good condition.
Blouse condition:
Top has tears at the top in the back. The hemline along the bottom has also come unstitched and there is fraying and some fabric missing. The front is in good shape - no buttons missing. There is some light  staining on the front and back but nothing very dark or permanent looking. Sleeves, cuffs and underarms are in good condition. No staining at the underarm areas. The removable collar has a few small tears and is missing some tiny fabric covered buttons. (the collar is attached with a few stitches). The embroidery is in good condition.
Do not know age of this set - maybe early 1900'? It has come straight from grandmothers attic.
This Skirt and top would
be gorgeous
if restored. Wish I could post more than 12 photos.

TOP: 18" across chest; 15" across at waist; 18" from underarm to cuff; 16" from shoulder seam to shoulder seam
