    CHOKIN is the ancient Japanese art of engraving copper and gilding it with precious gold
    and silver and other decorative colors. This art work first appeared on the armaments of
    the mighty Samurai Warriors in the late 12th century, and the stunning Chokin art has been
    handed down from generation to generation.
    The images are created by etching pure copper and then gilding it with silver and gold.
    The engravings were originally created to decorate the armament of the Samurai Warriors.
