    Description

    This listing is for a beautiful little Ginger Jar in the blue and white Flying Phoenix pattern. This lidded jar stands roughly 5 inches tall. It has a lid, but does not have an insert that you might see with more expensive versions. I see other listing note that this pattern was made in Japan, but there is no marking on this jar to verify that.
    This is a vintage piece and is in very nice used condition. I don't see any chips or cracks or crazing. There are a few places where the design has worn a bit, or perhaps it was a little wonky when it was applied. Those few spots do very little to change the beauty of this piece. There is one spot inside the jar that looks like it should rub off, but I can't seem to get it out.I have tried to photograph all the little imperfections for your inspection.
    I have learned through my research on this pattern that there is a very similar pattern called the Flying turkey which os also quite collectible. If you think I have the Turkey and not the Phoenix please let me know...but the photos of the Phoenix seem to match my piece.
