Women's Vintage 1940's Gabardine two-piece taupe suit jacket and skirt by The White House - Raphael Weill & Company San Francisco
Jacket has wide pointed collar, self covered buttons (4), faux front flap pockets, shoulder pads, notched cuffed sleeves, straight hem front/back, blush colored crepe rayon lining, "Coat and Suit Industry" label
Skirt has side metal zip and button fastener, back center 7" kick pleat, skirt is unlined
Condition --
jacket: 3 small moth holes on right sleeve cuff around what looks to be water/beverage quarter size stain - please see photo of cuff, small stain just below 4th button (clothespin) and small stain left cuff - see photos. Otherwise jacket is in beautiful condition, no other stains, no odors, lining intact with slight staining underarm but no odors
skirt: 5-6 pinprick moth holes front one being slightly bigger - see photos. Back some moth damage/thinning near waist - this would be covered by jacket. Lower back left side of skirt near hem some stains/dirty
This suit has not been cleaned - some of these stains could possibly come clean.
Overall excellent vintage condition - no major flaws
