    Description

Purchased at estate sale auction.Very nice Vintage Japanese Hand Painted Ceramic Pottery Vase in excellent condition. No chips or repairs. Vintage crazing throughout the piece.
This piece was made in Japan during the period from 1920 to 1950 for the export market. We have been told this vase was most likely made in Arita which was,at that period, the major porcelain producing area. The Red ink markings on the base refer to the fact that this piece was potted in "The Great Nippon" which was the old name of Japan. It also refers that it is hand painted. The piece is highly decorated in poly chrome glazes and features a bird and floral pattern with gilt highlights.  The vase stands approx 6-1/4" high with a 3-5/8" diameter top rim and 3" diameter base. Starting bid is way below the appraised value of this piece. This item will be packed very carefully for safe shipment. No worries. Please look over the photos and zoom in to help verify the condition and let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you and good luck!
