Vintage Japanese Kiri 10.5" Tall Ikebana Container with Makie Grape Vine & Bird

Description

This vintage kiri wood ikebana container is decorated with a makie inlay of a grape vine, flowers and single bird.  The container is very good condition, but does have a few small, minor scratches to the softwood; however, the copper insert is clean and water tight and the inlay is undisturbed.  It is an authentic, handsome container whether used for ikebana or other flower  arrangements or merely used as a decorative piece with its warm, autumnal tones and inlay.  The container measures 10.5" in height, a cylinder diameter of 3.3.75", and a .125" recessed lip of a 2.5" diameter opening for the copper insert to rest upon.  The complete container with its insert weighs 1 lbs, 1 oz. The coper insert is a cylinder 4.625" in length, 2" in diameter with a .25" lip to rest in the container's core.  All pictures were taken in a camera tent.  Will answer all questions promptly.  Will ship with USPS Priority mail with insurance and tracking provided or an equivalent shipper and service with the buyer's consent.
