Vintage Set of 2 Mixed Metal Japanese Vases with Flowers & Butterflies

Offering for your consideration is this Vintage set of Japanese Metal with gold and sliver colored metal floral and butterfly inlay.  The urn shaped vases are a shiny silver gray color and the etchings and inlays are on one side of the vases only.  The unsigned and unbranded vases were sent to my mother-in-law from my father-in-law in the mid 1940's when he was in the Navy ported in Japan.  They came to me from her home in 1990.  They measure approximately 4.5" tall x 3.25" at thickest diameter x 2.75" base x 1.25" at opening.  I consider them in excellent vintage condition with only very minimal wear and tear.  I can not determine the type of flower on the pot and in the similar items I found in my research, it was given several names, frequently a chrysanthemum which I question.  I think it looks more like a poppy with chrysanthemum leaves.
