Vintage Silk Metallic Brocade Skirt with Matching Bolero Jacket
This unique skirt and jacket were custom made in Japan in 1951. The skirt was originally a halter-style dress, later modified to just a skirt.
The jacket is of a bolero style.
The fabric is a beautiful shade of blue silk with a metallic design woven into it.
There are box pleats on the skirt sides and back, and the waistband is attractively shaped.
The waist measures 26” and the length of the skirt is approximately 30”.
The jacket would be considered a size Small, possibly 4-6.
There are a number of small spots on the skirt that are mostly lost in the design and fullness of the pleats.
