VINTAGE Late 1940s-Very Early 1950's Beautifully Tailored "New Look" Silhouette Robin's Egg Blue Linen-Gab Blend Suit with a Clay-Colored Speck in the Weave.
This Suit is Beautifully Appointed, Princess Seaming at both front & back (look closely). Navy Blue Button Surround, Two-Tone Navy Piping at the Collar w/Tab Detail accented with a Navy Backer. That's a brooch you see pinned there, I'm leaving it because that's exactly how I acquired it from the original owner. Underside of collar is lined in the same Navy Gab that edges the buttons. A-Line Skirt with Metal Zipper, BOTH pieces are Lined in THE MOST AMAZING PINK-BLUE SHIMMERY IRIDESCENT RAYON SHARKSKIN, Really Lovely.
Jacket measures Chest-34", Waist-26", Sleeve-21 3/4", Shoulder seam to seam-14 1/2", Length rear nape seam to hem-20 1/4". Skirt Waist-23" (btn can be moved over about an inch), Hip-36", Length-29 1/4".
Amazing & Outstanding Condition, NO rips/holes/tears, NO underarm stains, light dirt at the inside collar crease (see pic) & a spot at cuff & jacket (see pics).
