    This is a pretty porcelain or ceramic ginger jar like vase.  It has an ornate raised painted flower design - pinks, orange, red, black and white.  It is marked on bottom with a red rectangular shape with Japanese characters - maybe artist and/or maker information and has a sticker that says Genuine Kutani, Trade Mark, Made in Japan. It stands  about 4 1/4 inches tall.  It's in good condition - but might be missing a lid.  It weighs  just under a pound unpacked.
